HOW I WORK
Therapy that is practical, relational, and psychodynamic.
We can begin with the problem that brought you in—anxiety, relationships, sex, self-worth, or feeling stuck—while also paying attention to the patterns underneath it.
Beyond the immediate problem.
What therapy with me is like.
My approach is psychodynamic, relational, and engaged. Together, we look at how earlier relationships, expectations, and ways of protecting yourself may be shaping what happens now—in relationships, at work, in sex, and in how you feel about yourself. The aim is not insight for its own sake. It is to understand what keeps repeating so that something different becomes possible.
I listen closely, ask direct questions, and point out what I see when it matters. I will not sit silently while you try to figure everything out alone, and I will not reduce therapy to worksheets or generic advice. We will pay attention to what you say, what is difficult to say, and what happens between us in the room.
Support and challenge.
Some moments call for support, clarification, and help putting experience into words. Others call for looking more directly at avoidance, contradictions, or patterns that are keeping you stuck. Good therapy makes room for both.
Start with a conversation.
You don't have to arrive in therapy knowing exactly what's wrong. Sometimes you know the problem clearly. Sometimes you just know that something isn't working anymore. If you're considering therapy, reach out. We can begin with a conversation about what has been happening and whether working together makes sense.
